Francis Seigal
Gideon (1862--1948)
Francis was the
son of Willliam Gideon and Letha Russell, born in Greene
County, MO. His father died when he was 7, and he helped
his mother with the farm and also worked on his uncle's
farm, Harvey Jim Gideon, who lived nearby. He married
Rachel Ann (Galloway) Melton, who died in 1888. he then
married Missouri Ann Clevenger.
