Gertrude Cleghorn Josserand devoted nearly 40 years of her life to researching the James Isham Gideon family tree, prior to publishing her book, "The Descendants of James Isham Gideon and Allied Families 1764-1969". Born in 1896 in Wright Co, MO, she was the daughter of Edward Cleghorn and Ida barnett. She married Guy Dulin Josserand in 1919. She attended the University of Kansas and was a member of DAR, DAC and National Huegenot Society and was first president of the Kansas Genealogical Society. She was noted for her passion and her intellect. Their children were Guy Jr. and Yvonne Josserand.

Ida Barnett, daughter of Emily Susan Gideon andJohn F. Barnett, was born 1878 in Wright Co, MO and died 1955. She married Edward Cleghorn.

Emily Susan Gideon (bottom right picture) was the daughter of William Gideon and Hiley Watkins Cottingim. She was born in 1851 in Kentucky and died in 1940. She married first John Joshua Forrest, and second John Forrest Barnett. They farmed in Missouri from 1870 until 1920, when they moved to California. Emily also tended their country general store. John was a blacksmith.
