There are a number of ancient wall painitings in Hayden Church. These 14th century paintings were discovered in 1970 when the walls were being cleaned, hidden beneath a coat of whitewash. This one is part of a mural depicting a parable of three kings and three skeletons representing death. The moral of the story is that death respects no status of the persons it takes. The burial monument in the center was added much later, and the third king was destroyed when the window on the right was added.
